Dinosaurs, Orks, and Painting Kill Team Exodites
The new Kill Team Exodites box drops this weekend on August 8th. I was super keen to grab a copy for my own Warhammer 40k collection, but stock allocations were pretty tight so I missed out on getting one.
Silver lining though, I am painting up an Aeldari Exodite for one of our local Kill Team players instead. It means I still get to check out the new sprues, see how the kit goes together, and get some paint on the minis anyway.
Dinosaur mounts and Orks
Space elves riding full blown dinosaurs into battle is pretty epic, so I am really keen to get stuck into painting those mounts. Having Orks on the other side of the box makes it even better. I always love an excuse to practice painting Ork skin, and seeing dino riding Exodites go toe to toe with Orks on the table is going to look awesome.
Display bases and 3D printing
We are going all out on this project to make it look really impactful on display and on the table. We are going to 3D print some custom Aeldari ruins, trees, and bushes to build a proper scenic display piece.
To keep it playable for both Kill Team and Warhammer 40,000 games, we are magnetising the bases. That way, he can just pop the mini off the display piece for game night, then snap it right back on when it goes back on the shelf.
Keep an eye on our socials over the next few weeks to see how the build and paint job come together.
