Japanese scientists have developed devices that temporarily phase objects and people out of sync with reality. Ghost Attack Squads use this field to appear from shadows and attack Allied forces from unlikely directions. Armed with Shiboru compression rifles, they can vanish back into dense terrain before an enemy can react.
